The Role of the Nursing Assistant

As a nursing assistant in the department, you will work with elderly patients with multiple illnesses. We receive patients from several medical specialties in the direct emergency flow and are specialized in addressing the whole person with medical, cognitive, and social needs. The work as a nursing assistant involves care interventions, monitoring, sampling, and documentation.

Your Future Workplace

The Geriatric Clinic is located at Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping. The clinic has a care unit with 18 beds and a specialist clinic for memory care, Parkinson's care, osteoporosis care, and prosthetic support for amputees. At the Geriatric Clinic, we strive to maintain a good collaborative climate. We are constantly seeking new ways to help and support fragile elderly individuals by utilizing each employee's ideas and innovative thinking. The mission of geriatrics is gradually evolving both inside and outside the hospital.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, preferably with previous experience working in a care department.
